New Job

So the job isn't everything that I expected it to be. The place where I live is kind of old and rusty but not to bad. There is a girls side and a boys side to our cabin. We each get our own room, which I am kind of happy for. The staff here is really nice and outgoing. Our kitchen is tiny and really messy so I don't know what to do about that situation quite yet haha but we will see as the job goes. I won't be able to give a job description right now just because this week is super crazy because of holidays so after next week I will update on that. There will be nine students working here, five girls and four boys. I have heard that the ward isn't that great but I'll still give it a try :) My hours are usually 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. but sometimes we start earlier and end earlier it all depends on the day. But for now it's just super and we are about to watch a movie all together and just party! I think it will end up being super great and bless my life lots and lots. I will let you know how it goes. Have a wonderful night :)

Good Times

I know that this picture is kind of random but all I want you to notice is that the light switch is OUTSIDE of the bathroom.....We have good times :)

Boys are really dumb!

Today we had a big meeting where they created two new stakes at BYU-Idaho. It was pretty good but also very long. Camille and I were sitting there, listening and just minding our own business. Then Camille sees some boys sitting behind us put something in the hood of my coat. She told me and we just thought, "Really are we in kindergarten??" So we didn't think anything of it. Once it was over Camille looked inside my hood and it was a piece of paper with a boys name and number on it. We all just laughed and thought it was silly. Then my other roommate noticed that Camille also had a hood on her coat, so we checked hers. Sure enough she also had a boys name and number.
Once we got home, we decided to be fun and text them. The boy that I texted seemed really nice. He is a return missionary and we discovered him to be about 23 or 24. He later ended up inviting me to go to stadium singing with him tonight and I thought oh what the heck why not.
Camille was texting her boy and he was thrown off by her age and totally blew her off. Which we thought, at the moment, that that was so rude of him. He ended up telling her that his roommates set him up and that he was sorry for what happened.
So here I was trying to decide if I should still go to stadium singing. I decided to invite my friend to go with me so that it wouldn't be horribly awkward. We met up and he was definitely not the person that was sitting behind me during the fireside. So Camille and I both had been set up. By this time I wasn't to happy. He ended up being a nice guy but way to old for me. Luckily my friend had a good excuse to leave and we kindly left after singing a couple songs.
I think this story is super funny now but all I have to say is that boys are super mean for setting all four of us up like that. Anyway, thought I would share a super silly story with everyone haha :)

First Semester....(almost) Check :)

Camille and I  at Forgotten Carols! SOOOO good :)
Sorry that I haven't posted in a long time. College can be a tad bit busy sometimes. But everything is just going super swell. Only one more week left but sadly that week includes finals....
I am still having so much fun and getting good grades! (Which is a super bonus)

We like to be crazy
So here is my first semester in summary (if I can remember it all): First, to start off, my callings in the ward were super fun. I don't know if I served to the best of my ability but I feel I did well for a first timer. I was called to be the relief society pianist and FHE mom. FHE turned out to be a lot better then I expected. Once I finally forced half of my roommates to go, we ended up having a BLAST! And thanks to my piano lesson class that I took this semester, I was able to get a lot of hymn practicing done throughout each week.
My classes were a lot easier then I expected them to be. Let's just say though, I am really excited for my math and science classes to be over. Those two classes were probably the hardest for me. I don't mind my Humanities class. I thank my old piano teachers for all of the things they taught me about ancient musicians because I was super pro in that section of the class. My writing for communications class was challenging but at the same time I LOVED it! Just goes to show you that I am meant to be a comm. major right? We had a big project in that class where we had to do a representative profile of someone. Our teacher gave us the option of writing a ten page paper or making a video. Of course I picked the video option. I decided to make my video on my roommate because she is representing young women preparing to go on a mission. After a TON of work, I finally finished and turned it in. (I can't wait to see how I did!!!!!!!)
My piano class included just having piano lessons once a week. I feel like I progressed SO much but the hard part was having to practice 45 minutes EVERY DAY! Oh man it was super hard. But like Ethan says, "Pearson's do hard things." :)
It was a very successful semester! I met a lot of new people and am excited to continue my education. I had fun dates and sweet parties along the way. And the best part, I already have 40 credits!!! Which makes me even more excited. (Thank you high school!!!) Now I can't wait to go work at Aspen Grove!
LIFE IS GOOD!

Roommate Thanksgiving Dinner

Yesterday we had an amazing thanksgiving dinner as an apartment. Complete with turkey, stuffing, orange jello, broccoli, rolls, potatoes and gravy, sparkling cider and of course pie. We each took something to make that way it would be even. It was so fun and we all out. Camille and I went to the DI to buy goblets for the cider and we decorated the counter all cute and festive. It was so fun and so delicious. I made Christina's famous peanut butter pie and it turned out AMAZING! Now I just can't wait to go home and spend thanksgiving with my wonderful family! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Halloween is approaching :)

I have never really been a Halloween lover. At college though, everyone goes insane and seems to all be in love with it. So why not just jump in with everyone else??
At our apartment, the owner ladies are having a contest to see which apartment can have the most creative, most creepy or most festive decorated windows for halloween. Camille and I feel that ours is the best so far! Don't our monsters look super cute?? And it says "Monster Love" and we hope to also decorate our door like candy corn.
Our ward also had a halloween party on monday where you FHE group had to dress up as super heroes. Our group decided to be Captain Planet and his elements. It was so fun because our FHE group was the only one that actually coordinated together! (Only because I am FHE mom...haha just kidding)
Camille and I decided to be Lightning and Thunder. We definitely made a "storm" at this party!

It was lots of fun and I am so glad that our FHE group is getting a lot better!
Well life is super good! It was great to come up this last weekend and spend time with everyone in Utah. I wish that I could have seen the hunters but I'm sure they were having the time of their lives like they always do...WITHOUT ME! But that's ok. College is THE BEST! :)

Fun in the garden

So before it started to be freezing cold and snowing all of the time, Camille and I would enjoy walks in the BYU-Idaho garden. It is such a peaceful and beautiful place to walk through. It is right in the middle of campus so it's hard not to go through it on our way home or to class. As you can see we love the statues as well...

Roommates :)

Left to right: Tiffany, Aubrey, Camille, Angela, Me and Lindsey

I figured that you should meet my roommates since I talk about them and no one knows who I am talking about. So here are some pictures. We had to take one for our ward directory and decided to be silly while we were at it.

Party every day!

So first off, Camille and I decided that we should tryout for the competitive volleyball teams here. There are ten teams and they all play against each other. It is kind of like being on a high school team. Tryouts were three days long (thursday, friday and saturday). Then, the ten coaches do a "draft" of all of the girls. They figured that 120 girls tried out and that they would draft no more then 100. After a long wait, Camille, my roommate Lindsey and I got a call Monday night from our coach! All three of us made the same team!!! What are the odds of that??? It was a very exciting moment here in apartment #211. We will have practices every Tuesday and Thursday and games on Fridays or Saturdays. I am so happy that I made it!
Our weekend was super great! Ashley and her roommate invited Camille and I to go bowling with them. Though, we had to dress up. Of course we couldn't resist! It was so much fun!!!
Life is just so great here at good ol' BYU-Idaho. I am getting super good grades on my assignments and papers. My first exam is coming up this weekend. I am a bit nervous but I will for sure try my hardest. I love life and life loves me! Thank you and goodnight!
Me, Ashley Bingham, Ashley's roommate Chelsey and Camille going bowling!!
Meet Camille the pink nun and Cindy the magnificent painter!
Yes. I know I look good when I bowl. It's a Pearson thing.
Taking a sunday nap with my favorite snack.
So I was just about to get into my bed, then suddenly, I stepped on something sharp and literally collapsed to the ground!
Camille was laughing so hard that she had to take a picture. I just laid their like a slug.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

So my birthday turned out a lot better then I thought it would. I was expecting just a little cake with my roommates but oh did I expect wrong.
After my classes, I came home to my room all decorated with streamers and balloons! That was a wonderful surprise. Then Jason and Elizabeth took me out to dinner and we went to Outback Steak House. I of course got a steak!

After dinner I just went back home to the roomies. I walked in the door and all of them were sitting on the couches just smiling and staring at me. I was kinda hesitant and then two seconds later, a huge group of people (which more then half I didn't even know) jumped our from behind the kitchen counter and yelled "SURPRISE!!!" And then everyone sang happy birthday.
We all ate cake, cupcakes and ice cream. Camille made a yummy chocolate cake and Elizabeth made me cute pink cupcakes with marshmallow flowers on top! It was so much fun!

Also later, a boy that has knows some of my roommates, came over and sang Celion Dion to me while playing the guitar. Oh it was pretty silly. Throughout the rest of the night, people would stop by and we would give them cake.
My roommates Camille and Tiffany also gave me little gifts which was so nice of them and Mom and Dad sent me beautiful flowers!
Camille got me croutons and a cute white scarf. Tiffany got me some super cute earrings and a milky way!
It was SO much fun and I loved every minute. My roommates treat me so well. They are already like sisters!

Dinner Time!!

So tonight I made a very lovely dinner for the roommates. We all decided that we would take turns making dinner each week. That way each of us would only have to make dinner once a week. Which has been so fun so far! Also it saves a ton of money and time. So before I started on dinner, I decided to make some luscious chocolate chip cookies which turned out so yummy! Then, for dinner, I made chicken bundles with green beans and a lovely green salad. I was so proud of myself! (even though I had to call Mom fifty times) I would have a picture but the everyone was very hungry so we gobbled it all up so fast. But the roomies loved it and I felt very successful. :)

Already tears....

So don't worry to much by the title. I had to add suspense. So I just barely payed my tuition......even though it ended up only being $675.02 (yes I am including the two cents), I still almost bursted into tears. Camille made me happy fast so I didn't end up crying, but still I really wanted to. Though I shouldn't complain because I have two lovely scholarships to back me up and my books were super cheep! So I am very very very very grateful for everything right now. It is so crazy how your attitude changes so fast when it comes to money. I am still in love with college and am having the time of my life!!!! Thank you and goodnight.

First day of COLLEGE!!

So I really feel like I have been here for a month already. Today has been so long but very very fun! Jason, Elizabeth and I got here at about 9 a.m. and unloaded my very packed car. After a crazy six hours later Camille and I finally unpacked everything.
This is our lovely room in the process of unpacking. Isn't it just so cute??? It is a lot better right now that everything has a home. We got lucky and got the medium size room so we aren't super snug.

This is our nice closet! I actually thought it would be half this size before arriving but it actually is pretty big. We just love it a lot!
And of course we had to take a lunch break during our crazy packing. This is my very first meal. Toast, pudding, a tomato (which I ate like an apple) and water. So healthy right? I am defiantly starting off on the right foot.
So after packing we did some lovely freshman "Get Connected" things which were really fun and we were able to meet a new people. Though right now I am super tired and can't believe the first day is coming to an  end! So we will just see what this weekend brings! It feels so amazing to finally be here and be settled. The roommates aren't to amazing but I think once we all get settled and get to know each other a little bit better we will all be just fine. Anyway, time to go have a dance party with Camille so peace out brothas! :)
