Honeymoon!

Sorry that I haven't posted in like....a year! Anyway, here I am posting about my honeymoon! I would post about the wedding but I put all of the pictures on Facebook and I wrote about it all in my journal. :)
So after the reception, Dan surprised me by taking me to a bed and breakfast in Salt Lake called In On the Hill. It was AMAZING! The place was soooo cute and they treated us so well. The let us pick out some movies to watch, there was a snack basket and fridge full of drinks right but our room, and they made us an amazing breakfast the next morning! It was fantastic!

It had an AMAZING bath tub!
Sorry it's blurry but it was such a great room.
Saturday: We slept in and headed to the airport around 11 a.m. Our flight left at 1:00 and we got to the Ft. Lauderdale airport in Florida around 10:30 p.m. We thought of getting a rental car for a couple of days but we were n't old enough so there were more fees. So we went to get a taxi and we experienced 45 minutes of our taxi driver practically falling asleep! He barely spoke english and Dan was trying his hardest to talk to him so he would stay awake haha. It was so scary! Finally we got to our hotel on Miami beach and it was most definitely not what the pictures looked like. We got our key and went up to our room. We opened the door and the tv was on, ice trays were out, the ironing board and iron was out and there was taquilla and pizza on the table! I said, "Uh, I think this is someone else's room." We hurry and ran out and told the front desk what happened. They gave us a new key and we got our own room. I was so scared that someone would come into our room the whole night. It was our second night together and I was so scared/frustrated/grossed out by everything that happened. We finally settled in a little bit and decided we could just stick it out.
Sunday: We went to the beach for a couple of ours and LOVED it! The water was so warm! We just relaxed and had fun the whole day.

Monday: We woke up early and took a shuttle to our cruise port. We got on the boat fast and hurried and put our swim suits on. Our room was so perfect and they treated us so well the whole week! We had tons of soft serve ice cream and ate whenever we wanted.

Just got on the boat!
We got a cute towel animal every day!

Waiting to leave!

Bye Miami!!!

Tuesday: Early tuesday we docked at Key West and Dan and I went on shore to go on our first excursion. It was a kayak, snorkel and dolphin excursion. We went kayaking around a private island where we saw nurse sharks, baricoodas, sweet birds and sting rays. Then the tour guys told us to go snorkeling in the same place we went kayaking. I just thought, ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? There are sharks and sting rays in there! So I got in the water but I didn't dare put my face in the water haha. So after we snorkeled, they took us to where all of the dolphins usually hang out. On our way there was saw huge sea turtles swimming around like crazy and playing with each other. It was so cool! It took a while for them to show up but two dolphins started coming near us and once they realized that we loved seeing them, they just started to show off! They love attention! They were so cute and so friendly. We got back to Key West and walked around for a little bit. It is such a cute little place!

On the tour boat to the private island!
Look at our hippy/sailing bum of a tour guide to the right of my head. He was so funny!
Scary baricooda hanging out around our boat!

Waiting for the bus at key west so we can go back to our ship.
Tuesday night we got all dressed up and went to the fancy restaurant on the boat. That night we were feeling kind of sea sick so the food wasn't to great but I LOVED the chocolate melting cake! Celeste, thanks for the wonderful suggestion!

Wednesday: We got to Cozumel, Mexico at about 2:00 p.m. and we decided to do an ATV/Private beach resort excursion. We went to a ranch that had four wheelers and dune buggies. There were even a bunch of cool birds and reptiles that we could see at the ranch. They had us put a sun flower seed in between our lips and the parrots would gently eat it out of our mouth! It was so cute! We even got to hold a baby alligator! It was super heavy. The four wheeler ride was fun. We got to see some mayan ruin stuff and we got super dirty! But it was way fun!! After the four wheeler ride, we went to a private beach resort where we got to go snorkeling and chill out. The water was literally like glass! It was so clear and it was so much more fun to snorkel there then the other place. We saw angel fish and other cute little fish just hanging out.
Waiting to go on our excursion!
They gave us bandanas because it was so dusty.
We even did some shopping in Cozumel after our excursion.
We hung out at Cozumel until it was pretty late

Thursday: We spent the whole day on the boat. It was super nice to just relax and do nothing. We got pretty anxious to get off though so we were glad it was our last day on the boat. Everyone on our boat were mostly partying adults that drank a lot so we didn't really fit in very well haha. So we just kept to ourselves and did whatever we wanted.

Friday: We woke up early so that we could get off the boat and head to the airport. A bus was at the dock to take us to the airport and we got there at a great time. A couple hours later we were heading to Virginia! Dan's brother in-law picked us up and we went straight to Dan's parents house. Once we got there they put us right to work in cleaning the house and setting up the yard for the reception the next day.

Saturday: We had such a fun reception! It was really simple and sweet and I was able to meet a lot of people. It was more like an open house so everyone came whenever they wanted. Dan and I stood outside on the porch and the food and stuff was inside because we thought it was going to rain. Luckily it was overcast the whole night. We got a lot of fun gifts and everyone was so nice!

Sunday and Monday we just relaxed and spent some good quality time with the Barzee's. Monday afternoon we headed to the airport....again! (We were so sick of traveling everywhere.) We got home around 11 p.m. and were lucky to come to our own home and we went straight to bed!

I am so glad that we were able to take the trip! I will never regret doing a honeymoon and it was seriously what the doctor ordered after an amazing but busy wedding. :)
